Why should we give?

Jesus teaches that earthly treasures are temporary and prone to loss and decay. So instead, his followers ought to be laying up treasure in Heaven where they are eternal and safe. Giving generously to the church of our time, talent, and tithe is one of the ways we lay up treasures for ourselves in Heaven and a proper response to a loving and gracious God who has given us all that we have. While in different measures, every member of our church has time, talent, and tithe to give.
